1. The student will perform the following exercise demonstrating their ability to count and play the correct pitches on recorder.
2. I would begin this exercise by having all of the children play the top line and discuss whether the song seemed major or minor. Afterwards I would split the students into two groups to play the two lines. After giving them less than five minutes of practice I would have them all play together. Finally, I would discuss what a round or canon was and have the students play the top line in a round with the second group coming in after the first measure had been played.
